Regional Harbour Authorities Advisory Committee.

In 2001, the Harbour Authorities (HA) Network endowed itself with the Regional Harbour Authority Advisory Committee (RHAAC). As the name indicates, the aim of this Committee is to advise the Regional Directorate, Small Craft Harbours (SCH) in order to improve the programmes under its responsibility including the one respecting the Harbour Authorities, and also to serve as a communication link between the HA and the SCH.

The RHAAC has eight members elected for a two-year tenure by the HA in each of the marine sectors or sub sectors : two members are from the North Shore, four from Gaspe peninsula and two from the Magdalene Islands. Three of these members represent the Quebec HA on the National Harbour Authority Advisory Committee (NHAAC).
