From here, you can sail into most Quebec's fishing harbours which are managed locally in partnership with the Harbour Authorities under the federal jurisdiction of the Department of Fisheries and Oceans.
In addition to visiting the various ports, you will also learn a lot about the key role played by Harbour Authorities staffed by a network of volunteers who manage the commercial fishing harbours.

Shigawake is famous for the magnificent lupines that grow by the road in June and July. This small village is located along the Baie-des-Chaleurs, South of the Gaspe Peninsula. Visitors will be enthralled by the reddish cliffs. Shigawake is a bilingual municipality with an anglophone majority.
